FUNDRAISER DESCRIPTION:

• Fundraiser for Greyson - Minimum $25 Bid Please​

• Amanda and Parker Bennett are experiencing one of the hardest and scariest moments in their lives. Their son Greyson was born with Hemiplegia - Cerebral Palsy where he has weakness, stiffness and muscle spasms on his right side. His Cerebral Palsy was caused by an MCA Stroke while in the womb. Greyson, who is now 8, is such a happy and silly boy, despite any pain he might be in. He spends his days with his twin brother Lincoln, always in competition with each other.

• On May 29th, Greyson had his first seizure where he lost his ability to speak for 45 minutes and developed facial droop on his right side. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance where one of his first words back was to say "Bye" to the EMT, bringing everyone to tears. It took over 4 hours to recover to his base normal. A CT was performed within hours where they got their first glimpse at the significant damage Greyson has in his brain. He had an MRI a week later where it was discovered that Greyson has a significant loss of brain tissue called Encephalomalcia. Nearly the entire surface of his left hemisphere does not exist. In the void, Greyson has a large cyst.

• Another week later, Greyson had an EEG brain mapping to monitor for seizure activity where it was discovered he was having near constant epileptic discharges. Greyson seems to be responding well to his new medication to control his seizures and provide him comfort from the muscular spasms of his Hemiplegia.

• The Bennett family is facing many uncertainties with a long road of discoveries to endure. Specialist appointments are being scheduled in Saskatoon and Regina.

• Young's Plant World will be hosting a hamburger and hot dog sale on August 24, with all funds going straight to them. Please come on down and help support them!

HOW IT WORKS:

• ​Skies the Limit is joining with The Rock to fundraise for Greyson. In exchange for a minimum $25 bid, you will receive one of 25 toys (most of which are RCs) that Joe has available.

• If you are one of the first 25 people to put in a minimum $25 bid, you will be contacted after August 27, and you can go to Skies the Limit at 32 Betts Avenue to choose your toy. 

• Please note that the toys will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis after all those who have put in the minimum bid have been contacted. 

• Please bring cash or a cheque to leave with Joe at Skies the Limit when you pick up your toy.

• Please note that no charitable receipt will be issued.

• One toy per name please.

• Toy value varies from $40 to $250, and the toys will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis.
